Got up REAL early this morning, not by choice, but by habit. I was out on the ground by daylight ready to hunt!! I intended to do some dirt diggin' but when I got out the land ATP, I found the headphone adapter decided to quit on me. I didn't have the stock 'phones with me and I wanted to use the stock coil, so I gave up and headed for a lake. I knew my batteries in my water ATP needed changing, so I opened it up and the danged battery pack flew out and hit the pavement. Looked 'er over and it seemed OK so I loaded some fresh AA's and headed for the lake. I got down there, turned the ATP on and had but one bar of battery power. What the heck, must have been some bad batteries, I thought. I headed back to the car, grabbed more batteries and thought, you know, maybe I did do some damage to the battery pack, so I pulled the pack from the land ATP. Walked back to the lake, put in second set of batteries...one bar...dangit!! Opened 'er up again and put the pack in from the land ATP and ....full bars!! Gotta get a new battery pack now...dangit!!!

So anyway, I did finally get a couple or three hours of hunt in and got a wide arrangement of loot and the usual suspects. Here's the stuff, straight from the lake!!

And here's the keepers all cleaned up...at least a little!! The big honkin' brass bracelet 'bout blew my phones off. The tiny silver ankle bracelet was a scratchy mid tone but worthy of scooping!! The stainless steel ring was a good solid mid tone and the really big necklace was a jumpy mid tone, all over the place!!

A closeup of the stainless steel ring, silver toe ring, silver ankle bracelet and the whistle!!

So now I got to get the adapter back to Garrett and hope they replace it and order a few battery packs as backups!! What a day!!

I bet U got up real early this morning before the rooster spoke, not by habit, but by the thought of finding a whistle:rofl:I would like to find a really old Whistle one day. Looks like a frustrating with the Battery situation, but U came through:thumbup:

Just trying to keep pace with you!! Maybe when I retire in a couple of years, I'll ease up that way one summer and we can go head-to-head on a hunt. Please start now getting rid of all those skeeters!!
