I'm having a major problem with having the V3. I've had mine since April, 2009 ( original Vision) and I'm finding that I no longer need all my other detectors. My stable is shrinking as I'm finding that the V is so capable of performing in so many different areas of detecting. DXF sold! MXT sold. XLT sold. I'm very fortunate to have a wife that understands my need to dig in the dirt so my stable in the past has been, well, what ever I wanted in detectors. So my dilemma is that I'm reducing the numbers of detector I have (bad), but I don't need as many detectors now with the V (good). Now I have less to choose from (good & bad). What's a guy to do?
Wow, now that's a problem that I would like to have. I currently have 9 detectors and just can't bring myself to sell any of my babies even though I'm down to using only 3 of them on a regular basis including my Vision (now Vision i).
I found out that the MXT was such a good machine that I no longer needed the V3.
I sold mine before the upgrade came out and I spend more time hunting and less time
tweaking and tinkering!
The more time you spend detecting, the more finds you will have!

I personally spend almost no time messing with the controls. At first I did to learn the basics and see where the machine was at for the ground I was in. Now, Just basic program jumping and fine tuning what's there. Sunday I did have to go in and do something heavy, because of a large amount of buried electrical.....and had the ability to do that! MXT is a great box but no way can it be like the V3..... in many situations.
