Maiden voyage with the 800

I went down to the beach for a few days with my detecting buddy and used the Equinox there for the first time.
It amazed me while hunting inland the last couple years and this trip was not a disappointment.
I was amazed at how well it ran and without any chattering and found quite a few coins with it.
Most of the coins came from the dry sand, but I also searched at low tide and found some too though not as many.
I got a some junk rings and hit the little silver ring with the stones at low tide.
I found the two halves about 20 minutes apart.. my first half dollars at the beach.
I did not get any gold this time, but could have missed it by several feet or and inch.. I think if I had gotten over it, the Equinox would have sounded off.
These finds were made over a period of 4 days and about 5-6 hours a day except for one day.. only got out for about 3 hours before the rain set in.
I am very pleased with the detector and it continues to impress me.
Thanks for looking!!

You had an incredible week at the beach !!
And look 👀 at that beautiful ring !!
I’d love to find some Kennedy half dollars but they are very hard to find.
Were you using 50 tones at the beach ?

Beach 1
Sen 20-23
Recovery 5
F2 was at 4 I believe
Not much different than what I use inland except for F2.
You helped me with that setting.
I think I could have set it lower, but it seemed to run fine on 4.
I’m glad I was able to help you. As your know F2-4 = FE-0 so your iron bias is still very low. Glad your maiden voyage went very well for you.

Please explain to me why you chose the settings that you did for the beach.
