Maiden Voyage for my new Equinox 600

Got my new detector and had a couple hours to practice in our yard that has been hunted by every detector I've owned previously. I was able to scoop up a dime, a nickel, and 7 pennies (of which 4 were copper). Also found a drink bottle and some round thing (which I took a pic of both sides in case some of you know what it is). No silver yet, but I'm sure it will come. I can't wait to go somewhere else to try it out - especially the lake or the beach! Happy Hunting!

The round thingy looks like a button or a pin of some kind! The sharp thing sticking out of the side is puzzling! Try to clean it to be sure!

My first thought on the round thing was brass from an old shot gun shell. ???
