Maiden voyage for my new AT Pro today and it is a keeper:thumbup:

Hunted about 4 hours at my local fresh water beach and all I can say is this thing is extremely hot on tiny targets. My AT will false just like the ones posted when I twist it side to side but is as quiet and stable as any machine I have ran on the fresh water beaches.Pro mode all metal with iron disc at 30 and sensitivity at max and let her go.I bumped and scrubbed it the whole hunt with very little falsing and am impressed.

It will hit tiny thin foil at 3" that most machines will not hit against their coils of similar size. Most jewelery is junk but the one larger gold ear ring is solid 14K marked and made in Italy as well. This machine will be a micro jeweler beast to be reckoned with in my opinion.

Great job there Ray,Man that thing has got to be sensitive!
Congrats on the gold.

Man I know what you mean. For while there I was ifnding little charms. Then when i thought I was digging up little charms, I was finding BBs. It does hit on small targets. Good job!

I too noticed that the AT Pro was very sensitive on tiny objects. I can't wait for the 3 feet thick ice to melt on my lakes and get me and my coil wet, not to mention the Garrett gals out watching the new AT Pro in action. ;)

It's been a long winter for the Garrett girls too.

... if they are coming out on the Garret calender , I might give it a pass this year, and maybe even the next

Not too happy with mine the ACE outperformed the AT PRO last week falsing, chatting, wouldn't locate anything deeper than a couple of inches. going back to Garrett

Good to hear. I just got an AT Pro and I bought the garrett gizmo on ebay from the guy who makes them for 30 bucks. Really balances out the machine. Also got the camlock to eliminate lower shaft wobble. Sixteen bucks from Indian Nations Detectors.
I'm waiting for a thaw to try it out the upgraded rig.
It seems to be a nice machine for the money and most importantly I don't have to worry about frying the etrac when getting near the waterline. Freak accidents do happen!
Hey, Garrett ain't no Excalibur, but it fits in as a great all-purpose detector as a second machine.
I'm hoping it works well on those clad-hunting excursions to the tot lots too. Sometimes I feel its overkill taking the etrac places like that when I'm just out for some lunch money sometimes.

Now let's get that ground thawed!

Thanks Joe, best laugh I've had on this forum in quite a while...better trade in that ATPro for a forklift!

What do ya expect those Garrett girls to look like, sitting on their duffs all day
answering our questions and munching on Junk food?
