magnets hurt earphones

bubber said:
Will it hurt ear phones to be in the same bag with magnets? Thanks
bubber i have heard it all now! I sure would not do it with them expensive headphones! I thought if you banged around one magnet to another you could demagnetize the other,it seems i remember something like that from school, did this happen to you! Be careful with a bag full of magnets!

It is true that magnets will not degauss each other and there is no way they could cause damage electrically, however magnets do like to stick to each other. If the drivers in your headphones are not protected on the inside of the earcups a magnet could work it's way inside the cup and possibly crush the driver.Magnets could also scratch the heck out of your headphones.I personally would keep them separated.
