Magnetic Question??

Yes, I was wondering if anyone else has ever noticed that ferrous metal objects (ie. knives, etc) that are in your pocket or on your person, become magnetized after using the detector for a few hours. It seems to happen to me...not withstanding that my wife has always said I have a magnetic personality. When I come in from detecting, if I put another object next to the objects they are drawn to it. Strange, I know, but true. Any ideas?

The common "magnet" is not magnetic till it is exposed to a strong magnetic field such as a electro magnet or another magnet which allready has a magnetic field.
The search coil may be working as a weak electro magnet and thus "charging" your ferrous goodies.

Well, it seems like it is happening a lot since I started using the Explorer....just an added benefit I suppose.
