Hello,
here in the Netherlands the magnetfishing is very populair, how is it on this forum?
I have a magnet which can pull 300KG, a 30 meters long rope,an old river and there we go!
Some of my finds are a piece of a medieval plow, 3 granates WWII, a munitionbox WWII and a half year ago a a complete double-barreled shotgun from 1940 and a lot more.
I wonder if this is also a hobby in America/Canada and where more the readres from this forum come from! I think it would be fantastic to catch e ahotgun from the civilwar !!
Here are some pictures,if these are not allowed I hope they will be removed,
regards,
Henk

Ok Jim,that's another thing I can try when my magnet sticks on a heavy item :) .Do you have a specific model( 3 hooks or something?) as exaple for the best results?

When I was around 25 I did some dragging with fish hooks to help the local Sheriff's Dept. looking for some on who had flipped their boat, they used a piece of pipe with around 6 very large fish hooks to look for him---I came up with 1 of the men's pants who had shuck his pants and swam to shore so he got his billfold back---3 days later I went up with my boat after work and found the 1 floating on top of the water then they had me tow him to a waiting ambulance with a rope tied under his arms !
