Magnet connector

I'm just a little concerned that the magnet connector on the control unit is pemanantly exposed to the elements.Maybe a dummy snap on magnet connector would protect it?

That would probly cause a problem between the snap on and the magnet actually trapping particals in that area...instead of keeping it open and dry ...and free from particals collecting ...

Rinse well and dry thoroughly after use in water - fresh or salt. Do the same with the cams on the shaft. Maintenance will prolong the detector's life.
