Made it to Memphis safe and sound.

Hi Folks. Made it to Memphis and am at Jerry's though the weekend. We are planning on getting some water hunting done. On the way down I detected some school playgrounds. Spent time covering up new detectorists holes in a few of them. One which had a lot of holes netted me about 3 bux in quarters and dimes with only 5 pennies and one nice 10K gold girls ring. It is from across the sea as it is marked 417 and has a makers mark on it. Has an Amethyst stone on top of what appears to be a Shamrock. Sure are a lot of people detecting playgrounds these days. In my home town I hit some houses which were vacant as the state bought them for a new bridge right of way. Found nothing there and could see where there were people detecting there before I got there. Maybe this weekend will give up some more gold. Good luck all.

since you found so much - even a newbie should have found a lot of those coins.
Squirrel holes are a problem in this town. Must be squirrels have short term and long term memory loss since they can never find what they burried.
Hey Mike, I never paid much attention but what detector are you using?
Wish I would have spent more time with everyone about the pros and cons of their detectors at the forum hunt.
