Made changes to my shovel today.

I picked up a fold up shovel from the camping store and it was just too wide for beach work. I made a few changes :)

I kept the top edge of the shovel so I could still push it into the ground with my foot. Angle grinder and a arc welder where my tools of choice. First time using a welder. Here are some pictures.

I like the idea. Should work very well in the sand maybe not as well where there is shells or rock but then the rest don't do so
great so who knows ?

Salt water will corrode that in no time! If you are going to use it where the sand is not deep, then it will work but don't plan on using it to much in the water because your treasure will fall right out as you bring your shovel up. Beach scoops are the best.......tried and proven!
