I crafted a brass ring out of that Remington shotgun shell which I dug yesterday. I started to make one out of the headstamp itself, but it split while forming it into a ring even though I annealed it.. I noticed "REMINGTON -> UMC" on the side of the shotgun shell, so I used it to make a ring. I cut, sanded and polished it to a nice luster and it sized at a size 10.

Nice ring :clapping:

I saw this post and liked what you had done. I went out digging shortly after and found one almost just like it. I wonder what time period the UMC shells are from. I think pre Remington?
