Macro toy fire truck photo...................

Kelley (Texas)

New member
This is a macro photo of my Father's old toy fire truck that was given to him for Christmas back sometime in the 1930's. I remember playing with it when I was a boy. When my Father passed away in 1987, Mother told me that I could have it.

Do any of you folks have any old toys that have been in your family for years? If so, how about posting a picture and sharing with the rest of us.

Please have a great day! Kelley (Texas) :)

Or did you repaint it? What a great momento of your youth and father.

Take care

paint, but it is the original color. Evidently, my Father painted it in his later years. Please have a great day! Kelley (Texas) :)

but too much moving and family losing things has left me with none.
I have a decent collection of my old hunting gear, photos, and such though and i will enjoy giving it to the grandkids....if some boys come along. Can not be giving sharp pointy objects to females :D

was my last doll my mother and daddy gave me for Christmas, in 1965. I was thirteen years old, too old to play with dolls, but too young for most everything else. It is a bride doll about ten inches tall, still in the plastic dome it came in. Although the dome is cracked and aged with dust and years, I have kept it all this time.

I also sent a photo of where I had signed my name a few times on the bottom of it, and put the date I received it. I have always done this for as long as I can remember, that way whoever it ends up with will have a bit of a story, anyway.

I had a doll collection. About twelve in all. But one day Lil Brother got mad at me, and took lipstick and wrote on all their faces. Little heathen! I think Johnboy put him up to this!!

JUst another example of how those to mean brothers of mine made my life crazy growing up!!!

(I tried to send this once already, so you may get two!)

did not work. So, I posted it again. I will correct myself. I was only 11 years old, as this was<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008_ZNxdm799YYCA' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_18_5.gif' alt='Bag Head' border=0></a> taken in '63 not '65!
