Hold a 10X loupe in front of your lens. You can see the results at the link below. Impressive macros.

That you are holding a lens in front of the camera or attaching it to the camera?
Thanks... Guvner..

Guv... From what I can tell, he held a 10x loupe in front of the lens. I don't know what a 10x loupe costs, but if they're not too expensive, it's worth a try. I guess you could even use a less powerfull loupe, and get good results. I'll see if I can get some more info.

Go to the link below, and click Loupe Macros on the left side of the page.

A high quality Schneider Lupe will cost in the neighborhood of $150 plus.
I think that a camera that accepts changable lenses would be the answer. That way one could take a lot of different pics, and not have a Jerry -rig job either.
A Nikor Macro is from 3 to 5 hundred, that is in the pro quality type of stuff.
My entry level Casio digital has a macro setting on it, and it will do pretty decent, it is several years old, so there are lots of newer and cheaper cameras out now.
Hope this has helped, EMail me if you have any questions.I have taken a few photo coarses and had a few images published.
My experience equipment wise is mostly with Nikon brand of stuff.
Best to all,
Roger, from Tall Corn IA.
