So I got the go on an old house. I have been trying to get ahold of this gal for a month and a half. Turns out she never answers the phone I was calling. Well she finally did and said yes just like that. I have two hunts about two hours each, 23 coins and 13 of them are older than 1956. That is a great ratio in my limited experience. One old button and a newer Gold electro plated button, kinda cool. The big surprise will be if the chain that is soaking is Gold. I should have took before pics but this thing has a heavy layer of ??? crust of some kind ??? as the crud comes off it leaves a very Gold looking metal that is not pitted like brass gets. I will have it checked.
Oh yeah the 1st days 1st hole had 4 wheats all 1917 or 1919 (s) with another 1919 5 inches away. 2 and 3 respectively. The neat find I think may very well have been the '43 New Zealand One Shilling. Neat coin that is 50% Silver.
The most fun is cleaning the chain in (reluctant) hope of Gold. Well it could be! Maybe!
