M6 ?

I rarely, if ever, see any posting of M6 finds. Is anyone using it. If so what are your comments on it. I'm thinking about getting one and I need some input. Also, what does it weigh? Thanks.

We generally post under the Mxt forum. I hunt mostly parks, schools so I switch from the mxt to the m6. It has the 7tones which I prefer for coin hunting. I've been out the last couple of days and found about 70 quarters, lots of dimes/pennies, I usually don't dig zinc. Basically same machine as mxt somewhat smoother, extremely easy to use. Pinpoints great. Weight not sure 2 to 3lbs. I use the swing-thingy for the large coil. I hope this helps. HH

I'm certainly not one of the more knowledgeable people on this forum, but I do have an M6 with the 6 x 10 Eclipse coil and really enjoy using it. It just feels good while swinging it. Very well balanced, feels solid not cheap and you wouldn't think it weighs 4 lbs. They feel lighter.
I don't get out as much as alot of the folks on this forum. When I do, the M6 is so easy to adjust that I can't forget how to do it. When I hunt, I want to hunt, not spend a lot of time trying to get a complicated detector tuned just right. I'm happy with mine!

Had the M6 about 3 months but the last few weeks i had more time to use it and having fun. Been hunting older trashy parks and schools mostly using the 4.5x7" or 5" Excelerator coils, with detector set at 0 disc, tone ID ,and sensitvity at whatever works for the conditions.
The M6 is not heavy and easy to swing for hrs, especially with small coils.Target separation is excellent IMHO.
Here's a few finds from very heavily trashed areas with horrible target masking and some with lots of iron scrap. Horrible pic but hey i tried. Includes 1866 2 cent piece, 1910 German Mark found today,45 Washington,46 rosey,1919 Merc,1906 Barber, monopoly game iron?,and the jewelry pieces. The M6 is excellent for my type hunting.HH Bill

I feel the 7 audio tones is a big advantage over the MXT as you don't become a bobble head ones you learn the tones..Extremely light, excellent ID, Pinpointing and long battery life along with the high frequency which is better for gold jewelry makes it an outstanding coin shooter. No programs, just a few knobs and a triple toggle make it a keeper....Easy on the wallet also is another factor to add to the combo...
