M6 vs MXT..

Hi Richard,

Deeper? How and on what? How does the Prospecting Mode on the MXT compare on a 1/4 oz gold nugget compared to the M6?

I'm sure you are taling about a coin, but there is a lot more to it than that when talking MXT versus M6. But I'd have to agree offhand with my own limited experience that the person who is just coin hunting is going to be better off with the M6. But even that will have to wait a bit as the MXT is no slouch on coins.

But I doubt that if you throw in all the different factors from coins to gold to relics that the M6 is going to replace the MXT as the machine of choice.

in a simple air test, the M6 outperformed the MXT substantically....This was in a previous post that I made.... No other application was made nor was intended to be made. Sorry if there was any other application..I should have been more specific..... Richardntn

What do you think the chances are that White's will add the M6 coin mode to the MXT (and probably raise the price by $75)? Even though I REALLY dislike the underarm pod & weight, I'd buy an MXT enhanced in that manner. As an aside have you heard anything about a possible release date & price for the Pulse Devil? A shot in the dark, but you never know. ..Willy.

Hi willy,

I wish I was in that loop but I'm not. I heard about the M6 when you did so I guess I'm not a "red carpet dealer"!

Everyone is always working on something, like the Pulse Devil, but anymore I just wait until they really happen. Lots of units under development never see the light of day.

Who needs their steenkeeng red carpet anyway? Well, it kinda made me chuckle when I heard about the "Red Carpet".. OOOoo, AAAaahhh..how pompous. But seriously, it's rather annoying to be sitting & wondering about things; deciding whether to buy an MXT with the ever so valuable christmas package & feel burnt a month later when the MXT II comes out.. or don't get it and lose the stuff 'cause they're not gonna come out with a new model till 2007 & I gotta get an MXT anyway. Been looking at a number of different detectors but, so far, only the LST & T. Baron seem to be real contenders, with the Baron leading. I just don't like how much a new TB is going for. So many choices, so little money..Willy.
