M6 Question

I am fairly new and own an M6. My question is in what situations would you adjust sensitivity off of recommended settings?

Thanks

If it's starts to chatter and get a little nervous then back the sens down until it runs smooth. But if it's running smooth then crank it up until it's starts to be unstable then back it down until it runs smooth. This is the same for most all detectors. I start at max and keep turning it down until it runs smooth.

Hey Lambo
The M6 is a really nice detector with a great display, vid numbers and 7 tones to top it off.I have had mine since feb of this year and Iam learning to understand what its telling. I run mine with full sensitivity most of the time because it seems I find more coins on edge and I get a little more depth this way.Try doing a test by finding a weak signal at the factory preset then turn it up to see if it makes a difference for you.Alot will depend on the type of ground you hunt and the amount of mineralization you have. The only drawback is that this raises the sensitivity to very small items like foil, can slaw and small pieces of anything.I find after a rain with the ground wet I get alot of cracks and pops so I have to turn it down a little to smooth out some.I hope this will help some as alot of the post on this fourm has helped me to better understand detecting and my detector.
