I am a newbie whose M6 -stock coil on it's way. I am looking for feedback on what tools I'll need on the beach in Fl and any suggestions to make it easier as this will be my first experience MD'ng.
I realize I need a sand scoop but if you identify a target 7-8" down, how do you dig a hole without the sand falling back in?

Thanks for any advice!

If you know for sure the target is deep, Take a big swipe with your scoop, allow it to empty at the end of your scoop and quickly take anouther scoop real fast. Before dumping your scoop, real quick, scan for the target again. If you still hear the target, dump scoop and dig again. In the wet surf you have to work fast. It sounds complicated, but you will develope an instinct for it. I prefure a Knee High Scoop Handle and drag it to me rather than try to use it like a shovel. Out in the deep water with a long handle scoop, that is a whole different story. You won't be out there with a M6.....Go to White's Web Site and View the Video for the M6 Beach Hunting. It covers everything you will need to know to get you started. Good luck, and above all else, have fun.
