M6 Hunt

tink

New member
My buddy Steve and I got to go out today for a really nice warm day hunt. Temps in the upper 60s and it was a no coat day. We spent the first 3-4 hours hunting an older school outside the city and only came away with a few coins each. As we were leaving a couple guys pulled up and asked how we did. We told we sure expected more from the place and told us it get hammered pretty good every week.

The belonged to the city club and told us they had about 80 members that hit the city parks, schools and playground alot. They had a XLT, DFX and explorer in the back of thr truck so they weren't playing with toys. They said they hit the school up the road already and was working their way back into town.

So we decided to hit a school I wanted to hit for a couple of years but just never got the chance becuase of all the school activities going on at it all the time. We hunted there for about 2 hours and and did pretty well with my M6 and his XL pro. We each dug out over 70 coins just hunting around the edges of the place trying to keep a low profile around all the grounds keepers there. I did manage a two silver plated woman bands, 52 wheat and a casino token in the mix.

I sure am liking the M6 better with each hunt i use it on. Steves Xl Pro has some really nice features about it also. If I can manage it in the next few weeks I think I want to grab one of those before they are no longer available. Sweet pinpointing feature on it compared to the M6, but it no slosh at pinpointing either.

You each dug 70 coins in 2 hours!:detecting: Sounds like you had the detector humming great work! Especially now that you know you guys have competition!:starwars:

You guys did really well. Over 70 coins in 2 hours is buzzing right along. I think your detector selection was good too. I have an XL Pro and an MXT that can operate very near each other without signal interfeerance and they are both coin magnets. Your M6 with tone ID should make it an even better coin shooter than the MXT.

Have fun, Bob

Your going to really like the machine Okie and I think its a great choice for your wife also. It isn't the lightest detector but isn't that bad either. I made a big mistake a while back and talked my wife into trying it out. I didn't have the M6 or a really good ID machine at the time. She was digging everything that made a sound like iron chunks, pop cans ect. After a couple of hours she lost interest in it.

I think maybe the M6 might have been to heavy for her to hunt with for to long. But she would have known what she was passing over and could of dug some coins without digging trash. I am going to try again here this summer and with the 5.3 coil on it should be okay for her. Keep us posted on your thoughts on the machine and if you have any questions just ask.
