M6 and Relics.....

I went hunting a couple of hours this afternoon. Went to a Confederate position... Lots of briars where a BushHog had cut down and left about 3-5" sticking up... because of that I used the 1400 DD coil.. still managed to do very well.... soil was relatively soft from a couple of days of rains...some targets were 12+" and hit hard...ran the M6 at zero discrimination...full sensitivity and tone ID.... mostly .58's, round balls, a .69, a real lead pencil, poker chip from a flattened pistol ball, a couple of smaller caliber minnies.... It's not the relics that are getting scarce around here, but the ability to hunt the land where they are located. State keeps buying up all the choice locations for "parks" that are never developed beyond "keep out under threat of prosecution" signs. If I didn't work for the government, I'd say the government SUCKS. Ahhh, what the heck. I'll say it anyway !
