M6 and 12" on the Beach?

coil from White's provides a little better COVERAGE for beach hunting, or open, plowed fields, and similar-to somewhat improved depth on coils.

Is the 10x12 SEF coil good at handling bad ground and how is it at seperating trash from good targets? When and under what conditions would a 5" or 6" excellerator coil be most beneficial or would a Whites coil of some sort be better? Any thoughts about cooils for the M6 would be greatly appreciated.
