M06621 coil?

New member
Hello,

Please me know if a Minelab M06621 9" concentric coil will work with a X-Terra 705, and is it a 7.5KHz coil?

Thanks, Bill

If the letter and numbers came from a tag on the coil, my initial impression is that the M would stand for the (Medium freq) 7.5 kHz X-TERRA coil, and the 06621 is the serial number. Is there anything else written on the tag? If you'd post a picture, it would help identify it. HH Randy

This is a coil that I am thinking about purchasing. I do not have a picture, but the only identification on the coil is a tag with M06621 and warranty void if removed.
The coil does have the name Minelab spelled out in raised letters on top of the coil. The newer X-Terra coils do not have the name Minelad on top.

Thanks, Bill

As best I can recall, the only coils with a serial number preceded by an M would be the Medium freq X-TERRA coils. The early ones were embossed. Here are a couple of mine, "one of each". The older one starts with the letter L, representing a low freq coil. The newer one actually says 7.5 kHz. HH Randy

Yep! It's a 7.5kHz concentric coil.
What you described sounds exactly like the one that I'm looking at right now.

Hook it up if it is not a compatible coil is will give an error code on the screen. M = 7.5 Khz.

Good luck.
Jeff
