M-97 Question

Is this strickly a pipe locator valve locator or are there users here that coin shoot
jewelry shoot or relic shoot with their m-97. Thanks in advance for any comments!

George

Wrong forum, but........ the M97 is a manually ground balanced all metals VLF, as I recall about 4 kHz, with no discrimination. Back in the 1970's into the early 1980's machines of this type were commonly used for consumer metal detecting (coinshooting, relic hunting, gold prospecting). But nowadays we have modern "motion discriminators" and high frequency all metals gold machines which are better suited to consumer market needs.

If the question is "will it work?" the answer is yes. However for most people in most circumstances that'd be the wrong question.

It's a good unit for valve and box locating work, that's why it's listed in our industrial catalog.
