M-6 hunt

There is a Moose Lodge small playground not far from me that I have hunted 4 times. I have not gridded it just casually hunted it. I have used 3 different detectors with 8 " coils and have found a total of 75 quarters. Today I decided to take my M-6 with the 4.5x7" Excelerator coil there and kill some time. To my surprise after about 3 hours hunting I found 36 quarters, 20 dimes, 20 zincs, 3 nickels, a dinosaur token, a small sterling silver ring, and 1 hot wheel car. A total of 111 quarters from this area and I'm sure there is more there.. I was hunting with 7 tones, zero discrimination, gain at 9 and auto trak.. Really enjoyed the M-6 today.

I have just had my M-6 a couple of weeks. Yes, I believe a beginner would do well with one. It is pretty much turn on and go. The seven tone ID helps also. I have had and do have other ID machines but I like the M-6 as well as any.

The M6 is a turn on and go detector that has been over looked to some extent because of the MXT. Both detectors have thj same engine the same ground tracking and the same power. The M6 only has one mode which is somewhere between the coin and jewelery and relic mode on the MXT. The M6 just lacks a few bells and whistles that the MXT has. One of the really nice things that the M6 has which the MXT doesn't is 7 tone ID. YES the M6 would work out great for a beginner.
