M-6 does it again!

went to the park this morning for a quick hunt and to get the chill out of my bones. It's been kind of chilly here for the last few days , along with the rain which finally let up. Had the M-6 in preset mode , tracking on . Came over the target, meter showing quarter at 3" . I thought another quarter, great. Pinpointed , got the screwdriver out, started poking the grass and could feel nothing! So next I got the bulleye out and sure enough it beeped! Something there. Well to make a long story short, dug out the plug and out pops a silver ring with two stones! On the inside it reads 925 ! I guess the screwdriver was going thru the finger hole so that I coul not feel anything. Nothing to brag about about but a ring is a ring. By the way , also found a small chain. Could barely pick it up. Not deep at all. Turned out to be a nice day! Merry Christmas to all. Al

Congrats on the ring. I've had quite a few that spun right up the pinpointer when moving the pinpointer in a circular motion.

I've owned a few and my oldest son uses his as his main detector. Like me, he keeps the 6

Hi Monte, I was using the 9.50 coil with tracking on . The park was pretty trashy and I probably should of used the 5.3 coil cause like you say Monte it has good depth and great target separation . Can't beat the M-6 for park hunting . One heck of a detector. Al
