M 6 Detecting forum

Is there an M6 detecting forum like the MXT forum anywhere or is it just mixed in? May be a classroom forum on it thanks for any information.

entertained over on the MXT Forum, but I think the better place is here on a White's general forum.

To me, it made sense to have an MXT Forum because there was such a tremendous surge of interest with it's release, and a lot of sales and questions about a unit that is truly a multi-purpose detector by design.

The M6 is basically a simplified Coin Hunter's version of the MXT, lacking a Threshold audio (set by the factory at just a titch below the threshold point), no multi-mode operation, no ground phase reading and a few other little circuitry variances. It was housed in the good ol' Classic ID/IDX Pro type configuration but with the wide-body Quantum/MXT display housing.

The M6 is really a good consideration for those wanting an easy-to use coin hunting tool with an ample amount of audio and visual performance afield. Like the MXT it isn't as quiet in the dense iron trash like the excellent Classic series was/is :) , but it hasn't been as noisy as the MXT, at least from my few experiences with it.

The M6 will NOT replace my Classic III SL (dedicated 4") or my IDX Pro (assigned the 6

The M6 really doesnt merit a forum because from what I hear its not a very popular machine. There are lots of Whites users hunting Ebay for the Spectrums and Pro series right now. Its probably an OK machine but it wont replace these others that have been discontinued. My guess is that Whites will let the Matrix series go like they did the Quantums. They will probably keep the Prisms (even though I dont want one). Just my opinion. Happy Hunting!

Everyone has an opinion I guess.

"Its probably an OK machine" - - yep, it is. A darn good one in fact.

We've been down this forum road before.

The M6 is a great machine for the money. It's not suppose to compete against all the DFX's of the world, but it's a capable machine for what it does.

While there won't likely be a need for a forum until Whites releases a second or third Matrix for the series, we can always post the M6 questions or comments here.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see. From what I'm hearing the M6 seems to be selling pretty well and so far almost all reports have been favorable and it seems to be performing at least as well if not better than anything else in its price range.

Well littleman, you got your wish. Monte got a M6. Read his post and ask away. Rob
