i just got back from my first time out whith the 5.3 coil and it really snipes the coins i found i did not need the pinpointer because its so good at pinpointing i just poke my probe down and bingo make a slit and out it comes goes a good five inches deep no problem you have to move slower whith it but its going to be great in the high concentration target eareas its strongest point is its pinpointing i would highly recomed it if you do not have one also after i left the grass you could not tell i was thear i noted some of my old plugs the grass was dead not good i prefer the sergical removal way 95 % of the time
