Lukens Lake, Yosemite National Park:smile:

I went camping up in the Yosemite back country for 3 days and 2 nights at the White Wolf Campground in mid June pf this year. It is a great campground, and there are 2 hikes nearby. Lukens Lake is one of them, and it took me about 2 and a half hours to hike there and back. On the way I got to meet an older couple from British Columbia and had a great time discussing differences between California and their home.

I plan on going camping at the White Wolf Campground again this week for one final trip of the summer. HH everyone and hope you enjoyed.

I found it to be interesting to view. Are there any Bass in that lake and are you permitted to fish? I wonder why there was a lack of wildlife? Thanks for sharing. Kelley (Texas)

The lake is stocked with rainbow trout and a few other types; however, the lake did not have fish in it until it began being stocked by people. Today, the National Park Service does not stock any of the high country lakes in Yosemite, and in fact wish that the fish would eventually die off so that the lake could return to its natural habitat. You can fish and swim in the lake if you wish. Thank you for the comment Kelley. HH
