Wow ive found some good older coins lately. I dont know if its a hot streak or if im doing something right. Ive really slowed down alot and concentrated on depth in some highly hunted areas. Finding buffalos and wheats everytime out, the clad almost gets in my way, im looking for the deeper and older stuff. Ive been using the dd coil at some areas where theres not much trash. The bottlecap reading can be annoying, but in certain areas and at certain depths i skip them unless there deep. When there deep its usually not a bottlecap. I had 30 minutes before work to hit a small spot. I dug 5 coins, didnt think i got anything. but when i cleaned them up later i had two wheat pennies in there. A 1944 and a 1936. Im going into research mode now any tips on getting good research? I have a good historical archive downtown. What types of materials would be usefull other than maps?
