I have to share this with somebody.... :detecting:

Yesterday I got the two used coils I've ordered some days before from a British detector shop (I am living in Germany) and believe me or not:
Not only that they sold these coils pretty cheap; the 9" 3kHz was original packed and brand new! I can't wait to give it a try, but tomorrow I will test
my "new" 5x10" HF on a nearby beach first.

Remember.... the 5 x 10 isn't waterproof.

I hit that above mentioned beach today with the 5x10" and I have to say: I like that coil.
I dug every target - solid or not - and I never before found so much bottle caps and aluminium foil.
I was hoping to see less bottle caps, because glass is not allowed on that beach, but I was wrong.
I haven't counted them, but I dug around 50 in that two hours and the same amount of foil. Nearly one hit with every single swing of my detector.
How is it possible that people drop that much waste on such a beautiful beach?
But however I only found a few coins, two ear rings and two pieces of a broken, cheap chain. Not much for all that digging.

Congrats on the new coils! The Germans do not lose much. I have detected a few beaches, found enough to call it a fun hunt but nothing great usually. I do have a few pieces of gold and several silver rings. There is a lake behind Sennfeld you might try, I have not been there in two years so maybe you will find something, LOL. Good luck with the new coils and HH, Mike
