Lucky Ace follow up on gold ring

I am by no means tooting my horn. Gold is so expensive today that it's out of sight for most of us. That 10K ring with a lot of baggets was offered $70 for scrap. I asked they told me should be no problem getting $200 selling it myself. So I took it down to my local watering hole. 7th Guy to look at it- laid it down- $200.00 Told us it was a $750-$900 ring over the the counter. So whats to lose showing it around a little before melting it for scrap prices I don't find much gold, but this just covered my Ace250.

Smart man. Melting something down should be a last resort. Or at least the easiest way to cash out a find.
I was told to also shop your stuff at the jewelry vendors of the local markets..you know, the kind of street fair places where you can buy stuff straight from the person that made it.
They may be interested in a ring as a setting for a stone they have in mind.
Melting, as I said should be a last resort kind of thing.
Hope you bought a round before you left.

Man, that's awesome that you sold that ring for a couple hundred bucks!:yo:Sweet!:super:
