Luck of the Irish

I found this claddagh ring last week at my favourite beach. (First gold ring for the summer season). The Claddagh is a traditional Irish ring that is worn as a token of love. The elements of this symbol are often said to correspond to the qualities of love (the heart), friendship (the hands), and loyalty (the crown). It is stamped 14K. and only registered an 8 reading. At first I thought it was another 5 cent piece, though was happily surprised to see a lovely gold ring instead!

Congrats on a nice gold ring. Glad to hear you dug it up instead of passing it by because of the low TID. If you are interested in learning more about notch discrimination and the numbers that some targets will provide, I wrote a two-part article posted at Minelab's website, Treasure Talk. HH Randy
