I am just curious how Tesoro is doing in customer loyalty ? I still like them very much for what they are. Everyone have a great week and good hunting ( hi Skiwhiz ) .

Hi John, how you doing I hope all is well down your way. I bet you knew I would be quick to jump on this post being the Tesoro swinger I am, but it's not my fault look at the picture, this is what I used for a bib and a spoon when I was a little baby. Steve.

Thought that I might as well show you my baby blanket also. Steve.

That's pretty good Steve ! Yep I know you will always have a Tesoro in your hands. CU later Steve.

Can't beat-em, I would like to see a new Salt Water unit, but not another PI, just too much digging for me, also would like to see a Sensitivity Knob on the outside of the box....HH

Hey John I just got my old Inca back from Rusty, it needed a little TLC and now it is back in the closet with my 8 other older and newer Tesoros, just waiting for me to be able for some scratching. Anyone not using a Tesoro, is just simply missing out on the best detecting experience to be had, and the service is better than all the others combined.Shoot, I would go so far to say that Tesoro is" Family" and I bet I am not the only one feels that way! HH, Charlie

How about them Inca's? I think they are quite the detector, very sensitive and deeeep! I just got mine earlier this spring and she is a "hot" unit, I know that airtests don't mean much but mine airtests a dime at 10". I'm impressed.

i have used mainly fisher detectors over the years, but have owned a couple of tesoros along the way. i purchased a new silver umax earlier in the spring and it is for the money spent, the best detector out there. it's light weight, you can swing it all day without wearing your arm out, and it will find the coins and jewelry just as well as detectors costing twice as much. the lifetime warranty is hard to beat, and how many companies can you call up and speak to the owners themselves? i'll still use my fisher detectors, but you can be sure there will always be a tesoro around also...............roger

I am a relatively new owner of Tesoro products. Both my daughter and I have Tiger Sharks. Can't be beat in lakes and rivers! And no we don't use find pouches and detector cases for bibs and blankies!

Kind Regards,
Steve and Toni

Ok mighty fine and lookin good so far. I appreciate the comments too. You can bet I have my Tesoro's close at hand. I don't think there is a Tesoro model I don't like. I also like Fisher and keep a few around. Can't beat Tesoro service, that's for sure ! Ok maybe a few more will check in here. Good hunting and be safe all !

Hombre , I found many a goodie with my Inca and plan on finding some more too! Besides having the origial coil on it, I like being able to use the Super 7"X2 coiL , 4" Sniper, or 7" Concentric and others on it. I even have an old HOT Head, foam filled coil that is really lite and is always fun to use on it.It is a big help being able to GB, when using those other coils. I believe though that the original coil is the best of the bunch to use , and it does go deep.Depth meter is pretty cool too, and mine actually measures out about 1": shy of the actual depth, so check that when you are using the meter. It may surprize you,

From their business philosophy all the way down to thier service department. They fearcely protect each and every dealer, have a great warranty, top notch personel, rugged American made machines, and a wonderful and respected history. The Gifford brothers are great people, fun to be with, and are very driven to stick with the philosophy that their dad used to create the Tesoro company way back in the early 80's. I hope they are around for a long time to come.

Some new products might help make that a reality. Old technology, no matter how well it worked, is still old technology. The competition has some pretty nifty machines out there.

Dan

it would be interesting to see tesoro come out with a few new machines. tesoros current technology is getting dated, but it still works great. i like the simple approach they take with their machines, not real flashy with all the bells and whistles and other features i feel aren't really needed, but good solid performance in the ground where it counts. i'd like to see a cortes style id machine with fisher cz depth....what a sweet machine that would be. they couldn't build them fast enough. when they do introduce a new detector you can be sure it will be a good one............roger

Alright ! a great response to my question and many thanks everyone. Hi Charlie and sounds like your getting a collection started. I will agree that it would be nice to see a new machine from Tesoro as long as it is using new features that contribute to making more finds. But I think many will agree the beep and dig idea is the best producer. You can bet that Tesoro will always be in my store. I hope the issue with the Tiger Shark is resolved soon too ! I know it will be right when it is. I know a lot of people are turned off by the very small electronics pod but that is what it's all about is getting it smaller and lighter but still keeping the performance. The surface mount parts are getting pretty small and with multi layer boards, will continue to shrink the control pods. The only Tesoro I have not used in the present line is the Sand Shark pulse machine. Any opinions on the Sand Shark ? Oh yes, I still don't mind knobs and pots but at some point the pot will get scratchy or intermittent from contamination, an easy fix for some but most would have to send in their machine. But I love that lifetime warranty ! I should go so thank you all for the comments and good hunting but always be safe in the process.

Hey John how are you doing? Beale Carter here glad to see you on. I am in the process of buying a used DeLeon. I keep coming back to their product. Great units. I would like to see them come out with an updated unit myself. I just really like how lght they are and the great Warranty, Beale.

Hey Beale ! It sure is great to hear from you and yep Tesoro machines are a bit addictive he he! I hope you like the DeLeon and it is hard to beat their weight. Have you found much lately Beale ? I am still working the old football field area at the school here. I like the display on the DeLeon because it is easier to see than some others. I take it life is being good to you ? Ok I will hope to chat again with you Beale. Good hunting and be safe my friend.

Hey John been doing ok. Not a great year in terms of keepers. A few silver coins, and silver jewelery. Other than that a lot of clad. I just keep hitting it and hope for the best. Thanks my friend, Beale.
