Lower tone pitch for hearing impaired

I've had my 800 Equinox for about 3 years now, and have left the tone pitch for target ID's 21 and higher at the highest tone pitch of 25 and volumn at maximum. I wear hearing aids, and have lost most of my high frequency hearing. I think I'm missing a lot of deep weak signals. Has anyone in my shoes tried changing the tone pitch for the good signals they want to find to a lower pitch, and if so, how did it work for you?

I remember with my White's XLT way back when, that I could shut off the 'modulation' in advanced settings to make all targets more or less the same volume, regardless of depth.
I also turned the XLT tones down lower to make targets easier to hear.

So...
...I don't have enough hours under my belt with the Equinox 800 to answer your question directly and specifically.
I am still reading and deciphering tone settings, pitch settings, and tone breaks as ways to offset for my hearing loss.

I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but I changed my tone for 21 ID's and higher to 15, and ID's 11-20 to tone 10. Hopefully this helps me pick up signals I may have been missing/

Just as important are the choice of headphone in my opinion when dealing with hearing disabilities. The nuances you're looking for might be a headphone quality issue, cheap blue tooth ones have frustratingly poor sound quality. My personal choice is sunray pro gold and I am not selling anything.

I also suffer from hearing loss, anything above 3,000 k I can't hear. I wondered the same thing, what am I not hearing. I have the iron volume set at 2 and hunt with horseshoe engaged. That way I can investigate the slightest pop of any target I hear. I adjust the volume but leave the tone pitch as is. I use Avantree headphones, they seem much better than the stock ones. I mostly hunt in Field 2 5 tone Ib 0 and Rec. 4. bin 1 -9 to 10 vol.2 bin 2 11 thru 13 vol 25 bin 3 14 thru 17 vol 18 bin 4 18 thru 25 vol. 21 then bin 5 vol. is at 25. I did find a couple deep Barber dimes 9in.+ this year, both with the 6in. coil and both had some iron in the hole with them. So I'd like to think my settings are working for me. Good luck, Mark

I also have some Aventree low latency headphones that I use for watching TV, which are bluetooth. I was also thinking of trying them out.
The next time I go out I am also going to use the WM 08 module which I believe will be faster responce than the ML 80 headphones.
Has anyone noticed any difference in sound quality between ML 80 headphones alone or using them with WM 08 module?
