Hello fellow F75 LTd. treasure hunters.I have a question for all of you.I read somewhere that when you are puting
a washer where it goes in the lower shaft that you should only put one in,because if you put two in you are taking
a chance of breaking the ears off on the coils. Is this true,or is it ok to put a washer on both sides of the lower
shaft your answer's please.Thank you..

Hmmmmmmm, I use both and make sure they are pushed in hard and tight and then just wiggle/push the rod into the coil ears with gentle pressure. I feel if only one was to be used, they wouldn't have sent two. Hmmmmm! HH jim tn

You're up early Jim!:)-----They used to send just one black washer for that 11" bi-axial coil but are sending two (red washers now).----They go in ok & I haven't broken any coil ears (yet).----------Del

The first F75 I got in 2010 said to only use one washer and only sent one in the box. It seems that FT changed there mind about the number of washers. When I sent both of mine in for upgrade they came back with 2 washers and I don't think the one washer deal is in the new manuals.

So use 2 washers,

Del, the early bird gets the wheaties. In fact, my friend, got 3. Glad we are all clear on the washers(s) thing. HH jim tn

I just received a new F75 yesterday and inside the box was a sheet of paper that read "READ THIS FIRST". On that paper there was a section that read, "RUBBER WASHER"

"The 11" DD or 10" Elliptical searchcoils are engineered to fit with no washer."
"Installation of washers may break the plastic parts."

I installed the 11" DD without the washers and it was still a tight fit. I would suggest not using the washers.

I likewise just got a new F75, and yes, I had that same "READ THIS FIRST" paper, with the section about the "RUBBER WASHER".

I also had another flyer in the box, with a clear sketch, that showed inserting the washers on both sides of the lower stem, and it said to use them.

Yes, conflicting information indeed. I contacted Fisher - they said use the 2 red washers !

i know that when i bought my t2 se it also stated that the 11" bi-axial coil was designed to have no washers too .use the two little red washers on the small coil ,so what i found out is you do use the red washers on the 11 inch coil right? i have been wondering about it for awhile now

thanks to everyone and thanks to moose57 for posting the question
