I live in the lower part of Alabama about 30 mins for Florida and looking meets some new friend that would like get out hunts some site.

Just like to say man the SE is a great detector and can sniff out some old coin. sadly i had get one break the 1900 mark! but that detector worth ever penny i paid! My old friend that loves white's and does very well with 5900 but he will not listen to me even though i now have about 8 coins from 1866-1895 "one is a shield nickel but date gone"

I found all them with in the first 2 weeks of use a SE! and to add more to the store it was at my uncle house who use a dfx and he has hunted he's yard hard but never found a coin! now he has found some old spoons and stuff. Now i use a mxt, whites xl pro "xl pro did find 1 1900 indian penny about 3 inch down. The only reason i got se was for he yard that date back to 1880s or so and none of the other detector was hitting coins. My unlce keep saying he knew there was coins out their that why he got dfx few yr's back. It did take few days of useing the se before i started hitting coins but it was well worth the time and money!

the deepest coin i found was 1/2 silver dollar from 1935 at 9-10 inchs rest where 7+ inch. now i did dig up some iron well alot at first but once my ear got tuned in to sound the coins started to pop out. That best part about the se all the tones u can use and just let your ears pick out the good singles out of the junk and iron."thanks to you pros out their i did listen!" little noisey but well worth it. I can never go back to a whites lol the se got me hook for life!

p.s to be truthful i just told my buddy the se was great detector but u should stay with whites :p. sry but i need the edge!

nice job on all those coins! i agree, the explorers are the deepest detector on the market. i made the switch from a garrett gti2500 to an explorer xs and i have been finding deeper and better coins ever since!

Nice finds! I posted on the forum back in April to try to find somebody to detect with in Southern Alabama. My 2nd oldest son moved there in January and we went to visit for 2 weeks. Maybe we can get together on our next visit. I don't have one scheduled yet.
