Lowden State Park, Oregon, IL

I spent all day Friday at Lowden State Park in Oregon, IL with very little success. Hopefully, I'm posting a picture of 2 of the pieces of barbed wire that I found about 4 inches down. The park itself is beautiful, small but beautiful. I believe it is only 27 acres, some camping sites, and you are not permitted in the wooded areas.

I probably won't be returning. If the weather holds up, I'm hoping to try White Pines Forest in Mt. Morris.

Any Day Digging is Better Than Any Day Working,

Andy

I have a soft spot for old barbed wire...nice find, thanks for sharing. HH
