North Myrtle Beach wet sand cut hunting with the CZ6A and FZ12 coil. Running autotune then flip to discrimination of 0 over the target and listen. Any bounce to mid tone is a must dig! 10k white gold pendant.

Good advice about low tone targets going up into the mid tone area, especially in the wet salt sand. A lot of smaller gold I have found did just that...and I don't think I have dug any gold targets that went low tone/high tone.
 
Yep I agree, I've had a 14k mens wedding band and a small 10 diamond ring give low tones and then go mid on me.... almost didn't dig both of those, now I'm back to digging most everything again....

Don't forget the high tones my wifes nice 14kt mothers ring comes in dead nickle and my large 10kt. Pa.State Police academy ring comes in as zinc....

Again if it beeps dig it.....always remember the large gold diamond tennis bracelet a felow found after a storm as it came in as zonc penny on several different units...would have hated to miss that one even though many beaches are loaded with zinc pennies....

Good advice Dan!

If the bounce is to mid tone, I don't even look at the CZ6A's meter, I dig. On a bounce to high tone, I look at the meter. If the bounce is nickle or zinc, I dig. If the bounce is to the highest range, the copper penny/dime/quarter range, I go pinpoint or go back to auto tune and size it. Small tight patterns get dug, larger patterns may not if I get a pretty good feeling that it is probably a tent stake or big piece of iron; although I did dig a few tent stakes on this trip! 90% of the time, with a SLOW sweep, iron stays low tone and does not bounce unless it is big and shallow.

PS thanks to all for the replies! It was a relaxing trip. Wife and I spent one of the days catching blue crabs and had a delicious dinner with what we caught!
