Low Tide=Yellow Stuff:crazy:

Nice low tide today, -1.2. Plenty of wet sand to hunt. Not much in clad, $2-$3, but, the surf gods were good to me! First good target was the little .925 flower pendant. Second good target, about 1 hour later, was the ring, 14K gold, weighting in at 3.9 grams. Tested the stones, not diamonds:sad: Third good target was the medallion, 14K gold, weighting in at 4.4 grams. that was an additional hour later. Great day at the beach! Thanks for looking.

congrats on the gold!!!! I still haven't experienced the feeling of finding gold. Been detecting for a year and 2 months now, I am sure my day is coming.

Looks like nice opal to me!

Who cares if those chips aren't real diamonds. What you have there is a very nice opal, and that's coming from someone who cuts them. If I was you I'd get it valued by a certified Gemologist - don't sell that ring for scrap.

Thanks for the info. I was looking around on the internet about Opals, but, whew, there is a lot of info to take in. I will have it looked at and evaluated. Thanks again.

what TID numbers did they come in at ???
thanks

The TID numbers on the ring were a solid 12-05 and the numbers on the pendent were 12-04,12-05. I was using a completely open screen with sensitivity manual, maxed at 30, ground-coin, conductive sounds, pinpoint normal. When I passed the coil over these two items, the sound was rock solid and the pendent sound nearly blew my ears off. The ring was around 6-8 inches deep and the pendent was only about 4 maybe 5 inches deep. Both were found in the wet hard packed sand.
