Low Mineral Soil

My soil here is considered low mineral. I have 2 coils here which are the 950 and the 10x12 SEF. With my soil what coil would you use? The areas that I hunt are pretty good sized usually acres in size. TIA

Concentrics(950) are usually recommended in low/moderate soil - sef for higher minerals and better seperation. gl and hh!

The concentric will do better with overall iron discrimination. Less iron falses from bottlecaps. And as ManDad stated the SEF should do better at seperating targets close to each other. DD coils don't do well with bottlecaps, although techniques can be used with a DD coil to verify bottlecaps. Coverage of both coils will be about the same (shallow-medium) unless targets are at significant depth, then the SEF will have the edge with coins/targets at the fringes of coil detection depth. The SEF will cover more area at fringe depths.
