Went back to a 1910 house permission I have had for a while. I remember when I first hunted it I wasn't sure if I would find much since the yard was rather small. After my first signal, which was a three silver dime, Jefferson and Wheat spill all in one hole, I quickly changed my mind. I have now, so far, found 15 silver coins, 3 IHP's, 2 V nickels, 1 Buffalo and 14 tokens in this yard along with many very nice relics. The last picture shows most of the finds I have made from this yard.
I wanted to go back to this yard to see if I could pick any more targets out of the ground now that I have a few months under my belt with my E-Trac. I recovered two more 1930's store tokens and also an early NYC subway token. That token was the very first style token produced and was used from 1953 through 1970. I am sure these are found pretty regularly up north but it is definitely an uncommon find in East Tennessee! I then dug an 1897 V nickel at a depth of 7 inches and a very nice 1918 S Merc at 5 inches. Not too bad for a quick 2 hour hunt. This yard gives something up every time I visit.
