Loving the Anfibio 11" AF28 coil on my Multi Kruzer

Since getting my MMK last year I've only been using the 7" concentric coil because I really didn't like the stock 7x11 coil. A few weeks ago I decided to buy an 11" AF28 coil that is the Anfibio stock coil and give it a try on my Kruzer. I really love this coil and the 7" coil hasn't gotten any use since I got it. I feel that it is just as sensitive as the 7", separates just as well and that I get an additional 2-3 inches in depth. Has anyone else found this to be the case when using the 11" AF28 coil with their Kruzer?

I was just thinking about buying a 7" concentric for my Anfibio Multi. Now you got me second guessing myself.
Can you tell any difference in EMI?

I have hardly used the stock 11" on the Anfibio. I bought the 9" concentric with the machine and it's stayed on so far but you have me thinking of giving the 11" a decent try. The main reason I've tried to stay with concentric coils is that they seem to handle bottle caps and iron better than the DD coils.
I'm curious, how are you finding the switch as far as noticing any increase/ decrease in digging junk/ iron/ caps?

One will definitely dig more crown top bottle tops with the DD coil, but that is just the nature of the beast. I mainly hunt house sites, so not really a problem. If I hunted trashy parks, I would definitely use the concentric coil. The 7" concentric coil is a great coil, but I was surprised to see my finds increase using the 11" coil. Most probably due to the extra depth. Because of the extra weight I do have to use a sling harness, but that also helps to keep the coil parallel to the ground when swinging.

The new 11" is an almost round DD coil, found they seem to work better than an elliptical DD coil. The 11" is fantastic on the Anfibio. I did notice I find less trash with it, especially tiny foil. Going back over my finds pictures using the 11" coil, don't see a lot of bottle caps.
I still prefer the 7" concentric for most of my hunting where targets are in the 0-7" range and there is a fare amount of trash.
I did get a 9" concentric coil, spring has just about sprung and I have a day off with good weather, will be able to see how it performs.

Have you had a chance to try the 9" concentric coil yet? I'm interested to hear how it compares to the 7" concentric when it comes to separation, depth and weight.

Was hoping to get out, been sick with the flu the past two-three weeks, was gone, then rebounded. Its going around at work. Looks like decent weather coming up after the blast of snow we got this past weekend. Most melted today.

I have bench tested the 9" coil as it arrived during the winter months. So over the next few weeks will get it out there with it. Monte has tried the 9", he has posted about it, he still prefers the smaller 7".

I've got a 7" on the way, and should get a chance to get out with it later this week.

Have you tried the 7'' concentric coil out? thoughts?

I like the 7 but the 9 is a different beast

Hey juit. I have the 7" concentric coil for my Anfibio, and am thinking about getting the 9" concentric coil as well. I assume the 9" will give better depth. How is the 9" different, and do you recommend it? Thanks.

For me is that it cover more ground and yet will knock off pesky bottlecaps, unless im working a grill area or polluted the 7 is prime, but for a park area with mid trash the 9 stays in the anfibio, i sold my 9.5x5 after getting my 9cc, the coils that i have are the 7cc, 9cc &11DD i think i dont need anything else

Ok

I took the plunge and bought an AF28 coil for my Multi Kruzer to increase depth. Looking for deeper targets. :detecting:

Boy has the weather cooled off. 37 Degrees at noon ...Lunch Time

Went to a park to test and it works well. In 3 tone it separates the Medium and High tones well. I won't have trouble picking out the higher tones.

First thing dug that called out to me was a 41 year old cent - was near 80 on the ID scale - That is a bit higher then where the smaller coils read on copper. Time will tell.

41 years....now that seems like a long time ago. 41 years.... but it only was 1978...like yesterday. Wasn't it?

I stopped at a small park on the way home from work that dates back to the 50's where I found one Wheat a couple years ago.

Had no trouble locating another and 8 more modern coins - Since the sun was turning orange and starting to set I Ignored coins on the upper layers to look for deeper targets
