Loving The Alien (Anyone Remember That Bowie Song?)

Well, I hit a block-long sidewalk demo this a.m. without so much as one solid signal that wasn't re-bar related. Wasn't feeling too positive at that point. I was just about ready to pawn the Alien's a** when I decided to hit a high school lawn that I have hunted several times before with my 250 since it was on my way home. I didn't have a lot of time left to hunt (about 45 minutes before I had to head home). Long story short, I picked up over two dollars in old clad in a relatively small area that I have hit probably 3 or 4 times before and missed (my usual score here is far less than a dollar). Several of these coins were nickels, and man, when the T2 said it was a nickel, IT WAS A NICKEL!!!

SWEEEEEEET!!! Thanks to everyone who supported me in my decision to go T2 over XLT.

Bummer about the old sidewalk, you woulda thunk it'd have some good stuff. What, is the new rebar already laid? That'd be the end of that. Maybe crank disc to max and sweep it real slow. Maybe off to the sides, or where did they take any soil that was removed? Might be worth it to check any dug-out piles.

That's cool you upped your take from the school!

Hi Ed. No new re-bar laid yet but plenty sticking out from the still-intact curbs and into the dirt areas. Don't get me wrong, the re-bar wasn't responsible for me getting skunked as it was off to one side and I had my DISC set at 70. There just weren't any decent signals to chase. Oh, well, I am still very pleased with what I did pick up at the high school.
