Love the Vista Smart Plus

I went to a 200 year old home that has been hit hard over the years. I found some newer coins along the driveway but was able to get some interesting finds, in the iron and under the iron. The Smart Plus has a unique audio much like the Gold but a little different. If there is iron and a good target over, near or under it, the high pitch and the low tone are together but you can tell that the high tone is uniform, intact, if you will. The low tone may be on either side or on top, but you can still distinguish a complete high tone in the mixed audio. Iron may be big enough to give you a high tone but usually there is some little audio give-away that lets you know it's iron. The DeepTechs continue to impress me.

Any idea what the top left item is ? The dog collar and bracelet weren't over an inch deep, lost recently. The oldest wheatie was a 35 and the mine script was 1916. The locket in the photo is not in the picture because the friend I hunt with, took it and cleaned it up and forgot to give it back. Most of the good targets were in the 8-10" range and in the iron.. It's fun to ask who your hunting with to check the target.. "It's iron !!" Are you sure ? "I'd bet on it." Out comes a button, coin, etc.. love the expression on their face. I had one gentleman who was ready to wrap a very high dollar detector around a tree because of this very thing.. Best to all and HH. Richard.

I need to get out and use the Vista Gold. t have most of the coils now just need to use them. I do like the Super 6 coil. Get for the iron area's and the good targets mixed with the iron. Those are the places that machine excels above the higher priced detectors.

Does it have threads ???

Nice finds Richard, gotta love those DeepTech detectors.

I also have a 5" coil i have not tried yet, anyone used this coil?
If it is the Super Six coil that you are referring to I used mine for the first time today at a school tot lot (wood chips). Only had a few minutes to try it as it started to rain. Very nice coil, found some clad, a heart shape jewelry item and it hit on small bits of foil so I know it will find about anything that the coil swings over. If it ever stops raining here in northern New York I want to test the Super Six in the dirt.

Frank I used it one time. I think it will be great in trashy area's. Area's with lots of iron.

Great going Richard.... so simple and effective these machines, I've always enjoyed using them.
