Went to a local park yesterday and popped 3 rings using my Bigfoot coil and V3i. Two of the rings were just aluminum but the 3rd one is a nice 14K Gold, see video. That Bigfoot is great for covering a lot of ground and is so light weight you can swing it all day with almost no effort. Too bad they don't make them anymore.

What program are you using for the bigfoot? Are you using one frequency with it? Any tips with the bigfoot + V3i?
I have read most of the past posts about the bigfoot and the V3i. Just wondering your views.

Also, what VDI number did that ring come up as with the bigfoot?

Hello JV. I use the standard coin and jewelry program and hunt in all 3 frequencies. I do run it hot and the coil allows it. The silver (green bar) and the copper (red bar) frequencies will give the proper vdi numbers when getting a hit. The gold (blue bar) will triple the vdi numbers. It sounds complicated but after you use it for a while it is actually easier to know what you have in the ground than the standard coils. For instance a nickel usually reads about a 19 vdi on the blue frequency with a standard coil. With the Bigfoot it will read around 58 (approximately 3 times 19) and will dominate the blue frequency. If it is a 58 on the red frequency it will not be a nickel (or a gold ring). People have told me the Bigfoot will not work properly with the V3i because of the 3 frequencies vs DFX 2 frequency but you just have to learn to multiply by 3 on the blue frequency and it works great. Oh, I also run the ground balance on Lock Track and I do not use the polar plot with the Bigfoot. Really don't need the polar plot anyway with the BF. Hope this helps.
