Love my old XS

Last night I broke my merc dime streak with this barber...so tonight I went back to this field that has been pounded over the last thirty years...yesterday I got four wheats and the Barber ...today I got the two mercs..I would have bet twenty bucks nobody could find an old coin in this field ..but sure as heck , some goodies still come out.. Now I have found hundreds of mercs over the last 35 years , but never one in the condition of this Merc.. It still has a mint luster on it and full split bands.. got it in real sandy soil..must have been lost the day they got it from the bank..The picture does not do this merc justice...It is like AU... And one would never even guess this coin was in the ground over sixty years...So that is like a dozen silver dimes in the last eight times out...and the best part is half of them came from my hunted out park...go figure... This old 200 dollar xs is tempermantal trying to get it to fire up ..but once its running ..it is a silver dime seeker... I am thinking of getting a new minelab..but for thirty years I have been a Whites user..the new ones gotta be pretty good too..I have come to like my xs though....
