A reality check for the new people starting in this wonderful hobby. There are lots of good targets to be had, however, you have to dig a lot of junk to get the good stuff.

Past couple of weekend hunts....about 9 hours worth of hunting. A darn good way to loose a few pounds.

If your not resilient this hobby isn't for you, like they say the real treasure is in the hunt not what you fine. I've had days where I spent 6 to 8 hours hunting and only fine two or three modern coins.

Thanks for sharing the photos of all your finds. Amazing coin count of 182 coins and a nice ring also. I see one us quarter there in your coins. Obviously a lot of targets were dug for the coin count, the other good finds and all that trash. A good amount of hours hunting for your finds I'm guessing. A day to remember for sure.
