I worked some more of that neighborhood today after work for a while. I quit working near the schools today, as they have been hit pretty hard in the past. Yesterday evening I ran into someone who has lived there in the neighborhood, and he said the metal detecting club was quite active in the 70's. Lots of the green areas in this part of the city had been worked occasionally too. Well, I figured the schools would have been hit first, and many times back then, so I opted to move away from the schools and try my luck. A great improvement compared to yesterday. Today I got over 40 coins, including 4 x silver coins, an old wheaty, a gold plated ring, a Canadian 1943 War nickel some tokens and a commemorative medallion from British Columbia. Much better then my seven pennies yesterday.

One of my favorites was this tanker truck, complete with four wheels. I love these old metal toy vehicles. This one was also made in England, probably in the 50's.

Here are the best finds from today, cleaned up for the photo.

I really like how you post your stuff. The Garrett Green boarder is a real nice touch also. What are you doing?
Oh yeah! Great finds.

I am using pain program. When my pic is done, I color the background green and then crop the pic including the green border. Nothing complicated, as if it was, I probably couldn't do it.
