or jump in while I remember...when I first started several years ago, Vernon was always on line to help with my questions, good ol' Bobinmo actually came from Mo to Texas to show me how to use my new door stop (aka Whites XLT) and hunted with me several days. I didn't know him at all at that time but we became good friends and still communicate frequently, Gaf and I had a lot of good emails and I even won a dollar bet from him that is still displayed on my wall. The first time I saw Elson he pulled up in front of my house in Old Blue...absolutely a disgrace of a car. He had the CB antenna glued to the roof with white compound of some sort. Now our families are close and I am studying to be a Cajun but will never make it 'cause I can't suck junk from the head of a crawdad like he does. And he introduced me to "the old grouch" Shelby. They both came to my little cabin and we went to a happening in Abilene. Didn't hunt though. It was so cold my camera froze up. And the big Okie, BJ, and his wife came to see us and we watched him eat about 1/2 of a cow with a gallon of A1 Sauce. Good folks for sure even if they are Okies. Elson and I even invaded poor ol Ed at his store. He turned us on to water hunting and shared his favorite spot with us. And good 'OL Dave in Idaho put up with Elson and I (and our far better halves) and fed us like kings.. took us way up in the mountains and on the way down, I truly found out where the yellow went!!! I have swapped insults and ideas with lots of fine folks here and for all of you....thanks. So before they bury our little forum, which I don't think will happen, jump in and see if you got anything to recall. No doubt I have missed some fine things to share but, hey, I'm older than dirt.
